My little booger used to STTN. Now hes up at least once, and up for the day at 5am for the last week. Ughhhh. Tylenol isn't the answer so I'm afraid his sleep habits are taking a turn for the worst.
Yup my LO thinks 4 is play time lately. Sits up in his crib and try's to play. He rests for a while when I'm shushing him then when I think he's out he rolls over n sits up! Argh!! Lol for a couple nights I got up with him because he was so awake and wouldn't take a bottle. The last two nights he's tired but keeps trying to play anyway. S now it's stay in the crib and shhhhhh my brains out till he's out for real!
Hey, at least he used to STTN. H has only done that 3 times in his life. We're going through the same early morning stuff, though - it's hard to convince him that 4:30 a.m. is NOT playtime. Hang in there!
So weird that they can can change so suddenly and drastically. Last night he was up 3x between 7-12. Then slept till 6:30 so I can't really complain. But I have no clue what his issue was those three times.
@hummingbirdbaby3 I believe there is a 9 month growth spurt/developmental leap so maybe that's what keeping him up. Is he working on any new skills. N has been STTN for the while now but when he is trying to get the hang of something new he sometimes wakes up once or starts the day early.
My LO has never slept through the night, if that makes you feel any better. She is up only 3 or 4 times now and never hysterical. I consider this a massive victory.
Her sleep habits change all the time. This 3 or 4 times a night thing, that's new and about 4 weeks ago she was hysterical and up 5,6+ times a night..completely inconsolable. 5 months ago, she was up twice to feed. Tonight, who knows..this might be the night that we get up just once. One can always hope.
Anyway, the not STTN and then the early wake up time blows. I totally feel your pain. You will find lots of sympathy in this house.
