3 Days Til...

M's first day of DC.  Pardon the following rant. I'm a teacher and have to get ready, plus just wanted us to get used to the routine, which is why we're starting next week.  Of course, we are going away the last week of August (not my choice, long story, but it worked out to be that week) and I hope she doesn't "forget" the DC in the in between time. Oh, and I find out today I can't ACTUALLY go into my classroom..new rules...must be an insurance thing or something. We can only go in the week I'm away. So will take the days to prepare otherwise and do some stuff for myself.  I  KNOW she'll do well...LOVES to be around other kids.  I'm just going to miss seeing everything, but I'm lucky to have had this long. Thanks for "listening".

It's hard to leave them no matter what age. That's great you're starting early. I did a trial day before I went back to work and went home and cried the whole time (she was there for about 3 hrs). BUT the first day I went back to work I didn't really cry. It was still hard but I'd already gotten the crocodile tears out of the way. Mondays are still hard for me after being home with her all weekend.

O absolutely loves being around the other babies and it's a lot of fun watching her interact with them.

It might be better for her to go to DC then have a break before going back...my thinking is that it's a reassurance for her that you're still there. KWIM? Good luck! It's going to be harder for you than her.

I'm in the same boat. Going back very soon. Need to get in to set up my room next week and will be doing some trial days. I hope that it helps make my true first day a little easier. 

I have been blessed to have these 2 months with him at home but DC will be harder than leaving him with my mom or mil like we did from Feb to June. I keep telling myself he is going to love being with the other babies.....

Nervous wreck about trying to be BOTH the teacher I want to be AND the mom I want to be.

You know somebody else said the same thing. I'm at the point where I just want Monday to be over with. Thanks you made me feel better. Good luck to you as well! I know it will be so much harder for me. I know she's going to have a good time.

@jg1011 let me know how it goes!!!! Are you mostly mobile ? I would pm you but as far as I know can't tell i have one on mobile . M has DC mon tues and wed. Now since I can't even set up my class ill work on plans etc at home which I imagine will make me miss her more
