How long after losing mucus plug did you go into labor??

I'm 2 days past my due date and just lost my mucus plug and have some light lower back pain. How long after losing your mucus plug did you go into labor?

Your mucus plug means nothing and it regenerates. There is no evidence to prove that you will go into labor at a certain point after you lose your plug.

I was not saying there is any evidence proving that you go into labor after losing your plug, I was starting a general conversation asking other women how long after did they go into labor. Thanks though.

With my first, I lost in and went into labor that night.

With my second, I lost it repeatedly throughout third tri. Delivered four days after DD.

This time, I lost it a few days ago. Nothing yet.

I lost mine last weekend and still nothing. it's different for everyone.
It's nice to know that your body is getting things ready for labor though!

1-2 weeks. I don't remember exactly with my first and with my second it was during a bout of preterm labor as my 'bloody show' 1.5 weeks before actually giving birth.

This time round I've been losing pieces throughout the entire pregnancy (and presumably regenerating).

I lost mine about noon and had DS at 9 that night.  DS was born on his due date.  I was so excited when I lost mine ...  it meant that things were moving in the right direction!

With DD I lost mine right after my water broke. I was in active labor at the time.

With DS I lost it while in active labor in the hospital.

This means nothing for you though. Your experience could be totally different.

I'm 31 weeks and I lost mine last week and nothing has happened yet. (thankfully) but mine was clear/yellowish and from what I've read that makes a difference.

I'm 40w3d and have been losing it since 1 a.m. (5 huge clumps and smaller amounts as well, they are somewhat bloody- TMI, sorry, last one was at 2p.m. today and it was a lot).  We're 90% effaced, 1cm and -1 station since our appt yesterday a.m.  Been having cramping in my lower abdomen and back, along with contractions since yesterday morning but no pattern. Lots of pressure too.  I'm hoping we'll go into labor on our own and soon.  He has until the 26th, because that's our induction date.  Everyone (Dr, friends and family) keep saying I'll probably go into labor any time now, but we'll see.  It makes me feel better knowing someone else is in the same boat as me.

I actually lost my mucous plug while in active labor.

I lost mine and had a small leak:)
So went to the hospital, delivered DD about 18 hours later.
Wish I would if chilled at home a little longer. Once you are at the hospital it seems like a rush. HTH!

I lost it at 40 weeks and was induced at 40 weeks 4 days. Labor never started for me.

I've been losing it for over a week now. I'm 38 weeks today. First two days it was bloody probably due to a cervical check.

With DD1 I lost it the day before I went into labor. With DD2 I lost it hours before. Both times I lost it along with bloody show.

with ds 1 i lost it a week before i had him .. with this one i lost it just about a week ago and still pregnant 35 weeks 1 day

I've been slowly losing mine for a little while now. No sign of labor yet.

Mine was about 2 weeks. And I continued to lose more gradually. It isn't really an indicator that labor is near. I also lost tons more and my bloody show while I was in the hospital during active labor. I was 3cm dilated for over a week as well
