I'm expecting a boy next month, but DH and I had some trouble with girls' names. We definitely know what we like, but there are just so many beautiful options. Now I'm curious for all of your opinions! Help me with a possible future LO?
So I'm in love with the name Naomi. DH liked it, but he didn't love it. When he heard the name Roslyn, he fell for it, hard! Which spelling is best? Roslyn, Rosalyn, or Rosaline? It feels most natural to me typing Roslyn but I'm not sure how others feel about this. Also, her last name would be Ry.nard. Is the alliteration too much?
Here's the tough part... The dreaded MN. I liked Naomi because I wanted to continue the tradition of her MN being Rae. MIL and SIL are Rae. I believe it sounds pretty. DS will have a family name. I don't want LO#2 to feel excluded or like her name didn't have "meaning" (even though these things aren't something most children appreciate until they're our age?). Unfortunately Roslyn Rae Ryn.ard is too many Rs. I'm considering Roslyn Sandra, as that is another super meaningful family name. Still too many Rs?
What do you think of these?
Roslyn Lena
Roslyn Emma
Roslyn Eva
Feel free to add your suggestions. This is just for fun!
Other names I really really like....
Giselle, Madison, Savannah, Amelia, Harper, Norma, Nora, Layla, Audrey, Stella, Sierra, Adelaide, Teagan, Alexa, Piper, Sophia, Antoinette, Victoria
Names I like that are out of the question....
Natalie, Jeanette, Taylor, Lydia, Elise
Re: Just for fun - future LO.
My vote is Rosalyn Eva.
I also like Nora, Sophia and Victoria from your list.
I would say Roslyn as Roz- lynn. There is a town not to far from me and this is the pron and spelling of that town
Rosalyn I would say roz-ah-lynn.
Rosalind I would say roz-ah-lind
So for me these are 3 different names-- of the three I like the look and sound of Rosalyn best. It's lovely paired with Sandra.
