feels like a running cramp

I keep getting pretty painful cramps in on either side of my belly. They kill and feel just like when you get a bad cramp from running, but last way longer. Never had this with my first, saw my midwife yesterday she said  its normal ....I say it kills and doesnt feel normal. I know baby has dropped quite a bit, maybe that has something to do with it.  Anyone else having this happen?

Yep, I get that a lot. That's exactly how it feels though, like a very bad cramp from running. My OB also said it was normal, just one of those late pregnancy aches and pains, oh the joys!

I've felt running cramps just from walking, and period-like cramps that were confirmed to be normal. My suggestion is drink more water, even though you're probably already drinking a lot.

Yep I have been getting those....like side ache pains....totally same description ...just like after you run.  and it does suck....not sure what to do about it other then stay hydrated

My midwife says that they are from the ligaments stretching, like PP said. Nothing to worry about! They do really hurt though!!!

I had the same thing in my left side last night, it was funny cause I grabbed my side and made a grunting noise... My husband freaked out and he screamed... "IS IT TIME!?!?" Lol I was like uh no just a cramp and we are only 35 weeks, he needs to stay put for at least a few more weeks.
