Re: Worrying does it stop

  • It hasn't for me. I had two losses along with IF. As I pass each milestone I feel better but I'm still worried. And as a mom I worry every day about my DD still and she is 4.5.
    One thing that helped me is prayer.
    Btw. Symptoms come and go especially early. Your betas are great. Try and keep busy until the ultrasound.

  • I started to trust it and feel more secure at 18 weeks- after our A/S.  At that one we could see his shape, different bones, movement...he just looked too 'real' to disappear.  But I think that milestone is different for everyone.  For some it's not until you get to hold him/her in your arms.  I wish I had a better answer for you, just know that you aren't alone.

  • Nope. I am so anxious I feel like I could throw up before each u/s. I wasn't that bad before my loss, but now it's horrible. I can't enjoy this yet.

  • I agree with the other ladies - your feelings are completely understandable. It is freaky when symptoms come and go during early pregnancy, but just remind yourself that it's normal. Over time, I think that I have gained more confidence in my body and in this pregnancy, but now that there is a baby in the picture, there will always be something to worry about. :)

    Try to take it one day at a time and remember to take care of yourself! {{hugs}}

  • I think you just worry about different things.  I mean, at 23 weeks, I don't have that absolute panic before each ultrasound thinking that there won't be heartbeats and that I've miscarried, but I worry a lot about preterm labor and growth of each baby and other twin complications.

     I think the advice to focus on weekly milestones is a good idea -- it seems more manageable that way.
    Married 8/2008. IVF with PGD March 2013.
    3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
    4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
    PPROM at 31w, delivery at 32 weeks of two beautiful girls

  • Thank you for your advice. I will take this to heart and set milestones.. Suppose to be the most joyous time growing a life & of course IF has to lurk in her dark cloth
