Progesterone question

Okay I have been wondering if anyone could answer this.  I have had 2 previous miscarriages and now I am pregnant and of course have PGaL brain.  The question is:  I am taking PIO injections each night and my level was 322 when last tested.  If I the baby isn't making it will the progesterone keep me from miscarrying or bleeding ??   I have miscarried both without a need for a D&C and fear that maybe the PIO would stop it from happening even if the baby is not growing.  I am just scared to get to the ultrasound and find out bad news.... Soo can anyone answer this?  Hope it makes sense.  I am just soo excited that this is the longest we have been pregnant!

Progesterone level 4/2011= 11.29. SA normal. HSG normal.
8/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 35,
10/11 Clomid 50mg =BFN progesterone level 31,
11/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 12,
12/11 Clomid 50mg=Progesterone 31
01/12-Break from meds-BFN
Feb-cd3 blood work FSH(5), AMH(0.56) 02/12 Break....
03/01/12-Clomid 50mg with IUI #1=BFN.
04/01/12-Another round of clomid with IUI#2=BFN.
5/8/12-Diagnostic Laparoscopy-found minimal endometriosis and small fibriod.
June and July-much needed break
August-Bravelle 75 with IUI#3- BFN
September-Bravelle injects with IUI #4-BFP!! MC 10/7/12 : ( Sonohysterogram-Normal
December- Bravelle(3 good follicles & E2 1252) with IUI#5 BFFN :*(
July IVF #1- BFP! : )  Beta #1-245, #2- 703, #3- 1655, #4- 3553 YAY!  Praying and Praying this one sticks around!
                  1st U/S scheduled for Aug 23rd!  
Twins!!
We are having a BOY & a GIRL !!

    I am not the expert and could be wrong, but prog does keep some people from bleeding. I however did bleed through it. I think there is no good answer for you and sadly we all know those thoughts and doubts all too well. I hope your u/s is soon and you have good results. ETA: your betas are awesome!! And the 23 is just around then corner!!! GL!!
    TTC#1: 14 months on our own (did HSG, b/w, SA);
    BFP on Cycle 14--TWINS! Identical twin boys stillborn at 19wks(1/9/10)
    3 break cycles; took clomid 50mg, BFP #2 Beta #1 35, Beta #2 338!!! Owen was born 2/11/11! 
    TTC#2: 4 cycles on clomid: BFNs
    BFP #3: Cycle #5 100mg clomid; beta #1 21; beta #2 6=CP 
    Cycle #6 break cycle TTC no meds=BFN

    Moved forward with FET transfered solo frostie on 6-4-15, beta 1: 315, beta 2: 738, u/s showed one baby on track EDD 2-21-16

    I had two losses so I know the double crap of IF and loss. Your betas are great. I was on progesterone this pregnancy and an now almost 25 weeks. If you are having a loss you can bleed while on progesterone. I think things sound good for you. Sending t&p for a great ultrasound.

    I had a missed m/c and I did not bleed. Not sure if that was because I was on progesterone or not. I have never bled while on progesterone.

    Me: 33 DH: 32 SA#1 low count (6mil) SA#2- now in IUI range!(30mil) Dx:MFI
    11/1- IUI#1,12/1- IUI#2, 1/2- IUI#3 all BFFN
    IVF#1. Long Lupron.ER 3/8 10R,4M,5F. ET 3/3-one 1AB, 2 frosties 5dp5dt-BFP!! Beta 3/25-794 Beta 3/27- 1794
    First u/s 4/8 saw hb. 4/22 missed mc 8w3d. d&c 4/26
    FET #1- bcp start 6/9. ET 7/12. 2 perfect blasts.5dpt-BFP!! 
    Beta 7/24 -1,239!! Beta 7/26- 2569 Beta 7/29- 7120.  U/S 8/7 hb 118! U/S 8/14 hb 143! U/S 8/20 hb 170. Graduated!! Stick baby stick!

    Your betas are great! 
    I had a bleeding "episode" during week 8 where we thought I might be miscarrying, and the on-call nurse told my hubby to give me an injection (double dose) right away.  From my understanding, if there is a fear of miscarrying, docs prescribe progesterone because it is the hormone that keeps the endemetrium (lining in the uterus).  Women that (for whatever reason) are not producing enough might lose a pregnancy because the uterus isn't "primed" (so to speak) for holding the baby.
    Due to our episode, I was told to stay on the injections through week 13, and wean off until week 14. I'm not sure if the progesterone would "keep" a pregnancy if the baby wasn't growing though.
