Just found this board. I am Step-mom to SS who is 5. DH and BM have shared joint custody and we have SS every other week. It's a.. journey.. that's for sure. I have 3 children from a previous marriage that DH has adopted (their dad passed away) and we have one together.

I will have questions later, but right now I'll just read I am very happy to see that people aren't on here bashing step parents for daring to take any part in their SS or SD lives, as I've seen other places

Welcome! I have a DS(4.5) with BD and a DD(8 months) with DH. I'm just a BM, not a SM. There's a good mix of SMs, BMs, and both on this board.

Welcome! This is a great board and I'm glad you found us. I have a SD6 and a SS6 they are amazing kids who I consider my own, but BM is a wild trip. Dh and I are also expecting a DD in December.
