Flat spot on my 2 month olds head

My son has a major flat spot on the back of his head from sleeping on his back. I read that 50% of babies that go in for their 2mo. Shots have a flat spot on their head. Anyone have this issue and will it go away on its own? I plan to speak with our about it at our appointment but its just driving me crazy thinking about it! TIA!

At what age was the issue addressed? Is two months early enough for me to be able to change it?

Thank you so much! He does spend a lot of time in his swing, mostly asleep. I will increase tummy time and try to keep him off of his back. Trying to stay positive!

With my son we addresses it at his 2 month appointment. He was stubborn and liked to look to the right and from sleeping all night.
I placed a rolled up towel under the flat spot side of him to prop him off it during naps and bedtime. I wore him,tons of tummy time, bumbo, placed his flat spot away from the action so he would be forced to look the other way.
We also went to physical therapy. She showed me ways to help strengthen his muscles.
We fixed it and by 6 months I was told his flat spot was gone and that he would not need a helmet!!! I was so excited!!

DS1 had one too. I have a sleep positioning wedge that kept him from turning snd I would lay him on a different side each night until it evened out. Also increased tummy time and baby wearing Resolved itself pretty quickly.

We noticed a small one at one month. We spent the next month making sure our baby spent equal time on both sides because she tended to favour one. We also did tummy time and used a baby carrier. By two months the flat spot was gone.
