I went to L&D last Christmas when I was out of state because I thought I was leaking. I got a bill from the hospital in April even though it should have been covered. I got word today that my insurance finally paid the claim. Finally, after 20+ phone calls, faxes and emails.

Woo hoo!

Exactly MW. I hate having to fight for something that I know is covered.

I hear you.  I had to fight to have my epi covered when I had DD.  The damned thing didn't even take right so it barely helped and they wanted me to pay in full. Something about they didn't have proof that it was a medically necessary something-or-other because of the length of time the anesthesiologist was or was not in the room. 

Like yours after way too much fighting, they finally covered it.

Why do they make it do hard? If something is covered just pay it and be done.
