Re: Evenflo Symphony DLX vs LX
Truly, padding and extras. If you like this seat, try the Evenflo Sureride. It will last much longer rf and ff (harnessed). If your lo actually reaches the 40lb booster minimum by the time the harness is outgrown, the seat, because of how little the headrest/belt guide adjusts up may only last another year, so you'd have to purchase another seat at that time anyway. Because of the height of the harness slots, it's likely that the seat will be outgrown before they're actually ready to sit properly in a booster. Or may not yet be 40lbs. No 3 in 1 does all three modes well, and only one has good actual limits on when its outgrown (Diono Radian).
Here, this review may help. https://carseatblog.com/5469/evenflo-symphony-65-as-booster-review-part-xi-combo-seat-review-series/
Your best bet is to get a decent convertible, and then graduate to a combination seat (harness to booster) or high back booster once it's outgrown.
