Returning to Work :(

The day I must return to work is almost here and I honestly want cry because I have enjoyed spending the past 12 weeks home with my boys. Tomorrow we are doing a trial run with daycare to see how much time I need to get the boys ready and myself ready to be out the door and to daycare by 7 am. My plan is to make a list of all the things I need to accomplish in the morning before leaving the house and then preparing as much of it as I can tonight (the night before on work days). What has helped you to get ready and out the door on time so you aren't late for work?

Re: Returning to Work :(

  • Do as much the night before as you can (wash and pack bottles, pack extra clothes, set the carseats out). Also do as much for YOURSELF as you can the night before (set out your outfit, pack your work bag, pack your lunch and put it in the fridge, etc.). I found that my own stuff is what suffered in the mornings! The hardest part is getting a sense for how long it will really take to get them up, changed, fed, burped, and ready to go, so that'll be a learning process. It's not bad at all after a few days and you get into a routine. Good luck!
