Birth control ??

My DS is 10 weeks old. I just started my first post partum period. I was told to start taking the birth control pills the day of real flow. I always thought directions for BC were to start on sunday after period. I didn't ask any questions at the time because I had my DS and was distracted at my appt.

If you are taking birth control pills when did your OB tell you to start??

It's either the Sunday after the first day or the first day of your cycle.  

I'm on the mini pill so I was told to start as soon as I filled the script and not wait for a period.

I was told to just start on a Sunday and I asked if I had to wait for my period to start and the nurse told me no.  Not sure if I was given accurate directions there!

i was told to start the day i got my pills or wait till i started my period. I had my baby June 18th and the only bleeding i had was the 2 weeks postpartum. Still not period so the doctor said to start my pills any day and start my own period with my pills or wait till it starts on its own and take it. But most pill directions say to start the day of your period or the first sunday.
