Swelling?

Over the past few days (about 3) I have noticed slight swelling that I never had with my first baby. I figured with twins it was more common to have extra fluids and weight gain I guess and brushed it off the past 2 days my vision has been bad enough to need my glasses and I have been nauseated and a constant headache nothing unbearable though. Tonight though I can't even get my wedding ring off and my face is swollen as well my feet are fine however. Is this something I can watch for a few days? Or should I be concerned now? Never experienced it with my singleton so I'm not sure if its a common occurrence with multiples or not. I'm 21 weeks along if that makes a difference. And Monday my BP was fine (slightly high for me 110/90 where as usually runs 80's at most 90's). Thanks for any advice it's symptoms I never experienced before.

I'd go get checked out. I'd probably call my MFM in the morning and they'll get you right in. Blood pressure can get out of hand quickly. Better be safe.

Thank you:) I will call my OB first thing in the AM. It's surprising how fast things can change. Hopefully it's nothing! Just never really know when to be worried or not and these symptoms have me all confused seems they could be nothing or the other way and be life threatening.

I would go get checked out. Those can all be symptoms of preeclampsia. I developed preeclampsia very quickly during my pregnancy.

Yes, def call. All of those things point towards pre e, which can progress v quickly in a multiple pg.

Call dr. Sounds like you need to be checked for preeclampsia. I have it and those symptoms you described shouldn't be ignored.

I haven't been able to wear my rings for months. My feet swell as the day goes on but Dr seemed unconcerned since the swelling goes away overnight. Now reading these responses has made me a little nervous.

Thank you everyone I will be calling my doctor today. The sudden onset of blurred vision is what made me question it all a well as the headache and swelling that will just not go down.

For me, it's a twin thing. I've had 4 singleton pregnancies and never had swelling. With my twins I've had swelling that doesn't go away. Can't wear shoes. At night I can't bend my ankles. My fingers are hard to bend at times. But, my blood pressure is great and there has never been any protein in my urine. It's true it can be a concern with other symptoms, but I also wanted to let you know it can be normal also. The doctors have said for me it's because of the twins.

I just re-read your post up there, definitely something to check with those other symptoms. Hope everything turns out ok.
