Breastmilk with oatmeal question

do you heat up the breast milk with rice or oatmeal? it is such a tiny amount, not sure how to do this without wasting some. Some ideas?

I warmed the milk and then stirred in the oatmeal but you can also just hand express right into it or use water or fruit puree (I probably personally wouldn't use water unless she is already 6 months old).
