vent

I noticed water on our basement floor today. DH came and looked at it, we determined the kitchen sink is leaking into the basement.  Don't know for how long- a week, a few days, months? and all of a sudden got worse.  It looks like a 10x10 ft area of our basement ceiling will have to come down and be replaced, hopefully there is no more significant damage.

Just what I needed. ugh.

It depends on the cost, DH called the handyman we use when we can't fix stuff ourselves and he's going to come give an estimate.  If it's over $1000, then we'll go through our insurance (since we have a $1000 deductible)

My step-dad is a handyman and would fix it for us, but he lives 6 hours away :(

  • Oh man... So sorry to hear that! I'm sure it'll be a PITA no matter how much the repair costs.
  • DD just fell asleep.  I have a ton of laundry to get done, but the basement smells gross and it's all damp feeling. So I'll just be unproductive instead.
