This board was so exciting for a while, then it died WAY down.
I'm intrigued by the 0-3 month board where a mother is asking how to make her 1 week old baby not need to be held so much. I want to leave a snarky comment but it just isn't the same as this board!!!!!
I found that post. I think you are reading too deep into it. You can't always hold a baby. She is asking for advice as a FTM. That shit is hard with your hormones out of control, trying to get a grip on life as a parent, mixed with life in general. She isn't saying she never wants to hold the baby. She is asking for help on how to co-sleep and to make the transition easier. Tame yourself.
Sadly I think a lot of people think that when they have a child it will be so easy and fun all the time, that they're blown away by the challenges that do exist.

That is not the case in the post she is talking about.
Does anyone want to hold my 2 year old? She's exhausting. She'll happily let you push her in her swing or jump on the trampoline for hours, and hours, and hours.

We need to lock G and C in a padded room together. Let them wear each other out!

I'll send my DD, too! She does not have a low gear. High or off, that's it!

an asshole in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer."
