Re: Is LO walking?

  • Not yet but he's scaring me! Pulling up on everything and now starting to let go! God help me...

  • He is pulling up, has cruised a tiny bit and he's getting more confident with standing and better balamce. No walking yet though.

  • He cruises SO quickly along furniture, but he doesn't even try to walk or stand without furniture. He holds on with just one hand on the couch though and steps over to the coffee table and quickly grabs ahold of the edge.

  • Nope. Everyone in my family has been predicting she'll be walking by 9 months, but I seriously hope they're wrong. Though maybe it would slow her down a bit, she's gotten WAY too fast at crawling.

  • I don't have a clue when he'll walk.  He pulls himself up onto every thing, all the time.  but he doesnt even attempt to cruise.  DH didnt walk until 18 months!  Who knows.

We did get his first pair of fitted shoes at Stride Rite this weekend, during the buy one get one sale and while we were there a very petite 10 monld old girl was walking around, and it was so weird to see!

I wish Benjamin would slow slow slow down! He walks around his crib, the couches, his PNP, everything. It's scaring me. They just seem way to little to be walking around! I would bet he'll be walking by 10 or 11 months FOR SURE. Ugh...Was talking to my mom and DH last night about how he'll probably be walking around at Christmas and how that just doesn't seem possible. He was a brand new baby last Christmas.

  • O has recently started standing unassisted. She has been pushing her walker and cruising for a couple of months. I don't know when she'll walk but I've gotten the "omg, she is going to be walking soon" comments a lot lately. DH walked at 8 months and I walked at 9 months so I kinda expected her to start early but I'm so not emotionally ready to see my baby walking. Waaahh :((

  • Not yet. She cruises on furniture and pulls herself up on anything she can, including the fridge, doors, and other babies. Sometimes when she gets excited she'll stand up on her own for a few seconds.

Totally us too! We had him with our nephew who is 15 months and not walking yet. He just sat there and Benjamin just plowed over him. Poor Cody!

  • We're in the same boat as you @hummingbirdbaby3 He is a speedy cruiser these days, and he's totally unafrad to let go when he wants to.  He can stand for a few seconds, but then he loses his balance and sits down.  Oh, his latest thing in the last day or two is he just scoots his hands up the walls, and just kind of leans against them. So he doesn't even need a ledge to hang on to, he's really just balancing himself.

Everyone keep saying he'll be walking any day now.

I think we'll skip *real* crawling, too.  He just army crawls over to whatever he can pull up on.

Early FFFC, I don't have a single pair of shoes for him... I guess we need to get on that soon...  haha!

The walls! Yes he does that too! Shocked me at first! Yikes. And you know what, I don't have shoes either!!! Haha. Oops. I just figure it's so warm he and we have just gone barefoot all summer. Once he starts really walking I'll need to invest in good shoes I suppose! Just another thing to add to my list.

  • Forget walking, C can't even crawl yet.
  • K will pull up on some stuff, but is not quite to the point of cruising yet.

She knows she's cute enough that people will pick her up and take her where she wants to go :).

  • Z is just hitting the army crawling. Kid is taking his time. He rolls most of the time or positions himself against the furniture and pushes out with his feet to get farther along. He pulls up to standing on me and his little chair. He loves standing holding on to my hands and thinks he can just let go sometimes. He's testing the letting go of one hand and turning around and trying to lean to reach something else to stand against. He hasn't figured out the balance part so of course that means once he reaches the other object down he goes.

  • A pushes his dog toy thingy around the floor and walks behind it. He cruises like crazy and let's go to see how long he can stand before falling. I even caught him standing on DHs tool box holding on to the top of the gate.  Everyone says it won't be long n that Christmas will be crazy fun. Lol
