Another BF Question :)

So, I fed Hunter for about 10 minutes an hour after his last feeding to top him up so we could get through his ECG appointment (which he passed with flying colours! Yay!) Should I feed him off that side again? He definitely didn't empty that breast, and I am feeling full on that side, but I also don't want to mess around with my supply on the other side. Any advice? He usually just does one side per feeding.

I wouldn't consider that to be a full feeding, so would probably start on that side. But I also wouldn't worry about messing up supply with just one wonky feeding

You should be okay to feed that side again.

Thanks! I'm borderline worried about mastitis in that breast, as I had some hot and cold chills last night and aches and pains. Could just be from being overtired, though. I'm trying not to panic about it. I don't have a temperature.

I've been told by all LCs that if you give both breasts, start with the one you left off on as it probably wasn't emptied all the way. so yeah I would start with that one! I usually only do one side too and if we do a quick feed I'll start back on the same side.

Yep. If DD only eats a little from one side, I always give her that boob again. She is 4 weeks and I haven't had a problem with my supply from this.
