Question for those who have had endometrial scratching

I had an E-tegrity biospy in July to test for Beta-3 Integrin.  Although the purpose of the biopsy was not to improve implantation my RE said it would improve my odds for up to three months.  

Today I had a consult with my DE RE on the west coast and he would like me to have an endometrial scratch done in September before my October FET.  My question is, is this overkill?  I am fine with having it done.  I am just wondering if there could be any detriment to having it done so soon after the biopsy.  Does anyone have any insight?  

Maybe I am just starting to feel overly sympathetic for my poor uterus.

Well I was wondering the same thing as you were and I actually went this morning for my endometrial scratch. I had never had one done before and my RE wanted to improve my chances since I will be doing my first FET sept 3rd.it was super quick and painless. Dr had me go in with a full bladder and he numbed it with a little lidocaine first and I hardly felt the actual procedure. I did have cramping for a hour after but took two Tylenol and was able to go to work and work the rest of the day. Hopefully it will work for both of us I'm willing to try anything at this point! My clinic does them for every FET. Mine was NOT painless, but the pain was limited to a minute or 2 during the actual procedure. Good luck!

I had one done in December for my January fresh IVF cycle but opposite reasons...it was only to help implantation (supposed to anyways). I even asked my RE if the biopsy was normal she's like "Oh we didn't even test it"....gee thanks lol

I have done it for all transfers.  And twice.  In the cycle before transfer we do follicular phase and luteal phase scratches/biopsies.  For implantation purposes.

I did it this cycle for implantation purposes. I did have it biopsied (normal) just for good measure since my insurance would cover. It wasn't very painful and if it helped in any way, I'm glad we did it.

We did it 3 times. A lot of places are doing it as a matter of course. Couldn't hurt (although I know it does, for just a tiny bit).

I also had the biopsy done in June to check for the beta 3 protein. I am having another one done before my transfer in Oct to help with implantation. I'm not exactly sure how many weeks before transfer, but I know that they recommend doing it the cycle before transfer for the best chance for implantation. So, I think it is worth having another one, since it will be closer to your transfer. Hopefully there is no negative to having another one (besides the discomfort), so it's worth it!

Thanks ladies!  I feel much better now that I know there are others that have had (or are having) more than one in a short period of time.  I don’t know why but I seem to be questioning everything this time around.  I guess I’ve just become overly protective of my uterus since it is the only thing I have left at this point!

I had it done for second FET in may for a June transfer.  They didn't do it for my first FET. Hurt for a minute and then I was fine.  I have had spotting throughout this pregnancy so far, especially early on so I am wondering if it is from that.

Ok update on the endometrial scratch... I've had the worst period since I had it tue... Make it stop!!! And I assume we can't wear tampons and pads are GROSS!!!
