Hi ladies. I've been a member of the Knot and subsequently the Bump for 7 years. I've had this particular forum bookmarked for about a month, but never introduced myself.
DH and I have one DD (4). She was conceived the first time we tried. My, how things have changed!
After her birth, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I didn't think it would affect my fertility. When we started TTC in December of last year, both my OB and endo said to call when we got the positive test.
Well, after a few months, I decided to try ovulation testing. That's when I discovered my luteal phase is only 8 days long. Although its never been officially confirmed, we feel that the cause of this is my thyroid.
Last month was my first time on Clomid (50mg). I also took Prometrium after ovulating. It didn't work. AF showed yesterday. it wasn't much of a surprise, but I took it very badly. Clomid did not affect my ovulation, but it did lengthen my cycle from 26 days to 31. Tomorrow I have my follow up with my OB. I'm trying to stay positive that this next round will bring us that BFP!
