Rumparooz G1 vs G2

Anyone have experience with these?  I tried the G1 with DD and really, really wanted to like them, but the tabs were too stretchy and the waist always ended up folding up under her belly (possibly similar to wing droop maybe?).  I vaguely remember someone mentioning then they were suppose to be coming out with a new design, which I believe is the G2 - and according to the website the G2 have a shorter tab.  however, I'm trying to find someone who ran into similar issues with the G1's that can give me better info about how the G2 worked.  DD's stash was over 90% BG 3.0, with a Blueberry minky and another one with little hooks for closure (not aplix) but i can't remember the brand.  I know I'll end up buying at least a few new diapers for this LO and I'm trying to determine if I should give the RaR a chance again or not...
