When to do a fun activity after starting PT?

We start potty training officially on Thursday but have been working on it here and there lately. She is doing great and has even gone potty at daycare. 
Her birthday is on the 20th and with out thinking about it I thought I would take her to Jungle Java, this indoor play area she likes. Well unless she is actually potty trained in three days then I highly doubt we will get to go. Even if she is doing wonderfully all the playing and me not able to get her out of the playscape and to a potty fast just spells disaster to me.

So my question is, how long did it take for you to take you child somewhere like this? Did anyone dare venture out before their LOs were completely potty trained?

It totally depends on the kid. Mine went from absolutely refusing to PT at 25 months (and showing no interest) to being fully PT from one day to the next at 26 months (her initiative). She was in panties from one day to the next and had very few accidents and was very good about telling me when she needed to go potty. She was scared to death of big toilets so we used a travel potty (Potette plus). Initially we would have to go back to the car for her to pee but after a 2-3 weeks she would be comfortable using her little potty in the bathroom stalls. We went overseas about 8 weeks after she PT and did not use any diapers (and only had 2 accidents and those were while at someone's house just hanging out). I would say if she is good about knowing and telling you when she needs to pee and is able to hold her urine for at least a couple of hours I think you should venture out. I also bought this little pad for the car seat and she has only had two accidents in the car (had to pull over a few times to let her pee on her travel potty though but that's ok). I think for us the travel potty made all the difference. I carried it with me at all times the first few months until she was comfortable actually using a big toilet without a ring.

I PTed my youngest this week. I took her out every day, in undies. She had a few accidents but she did fine. We went to the bathroom a lot and I asked her a lot if her undies were clean and dry, but I didn't stay home. A week later, I feel fine taking her out and about and she's not having accidents.

I am nervous because while she has told me she has to go potty most of the time she just runs to her potty and goes. I am nervous about the time that she tells me and how immediately she has to go.

She has been diaper free since she got up from her nap and hasn't had one accident, accept her poop but it was on the way to the potty and it was her first ever time pooping on the potty.
We have the potette potty for on the go to and it is what she uses in our living room. 

I am nervous about putting her in panties. Since she is doing so well naked should I try them tonight or wait until tomorrow to introduce panties?

If you want to go, go!  My son actually does better with telling me he has to pee while we're out.  He does great at stores... now the park or a play area?  I haven't fully tested that yet.  But if the play area has a bathroom, I'd take her as soon as you get there, then after an hour to hour and a half, get her and take her again.  She'll probably be too distracted to tell you, but she might surprise you too   We use those plastic pants over the undies just to keep the worst of the leakage inside.  Doesn't absorb or anything and if he pees a ton, it's not going to do mauch at all to contain it.  If you are really nervous about it, use a pull up over her undies.  Yes, it's just like a diaper, but it'll definitely keep the worst contained.  I'd use those in the early days if we'd be out for a while, but now we can go out without the plastic pants for the most part.  I think we'll be able to ditch them entirely in the next couple weeks.

For an outing like that, I'd put pull-ups on. DS didn't have any issues thinking pull-ups were diapers though.

Our first big outing was the zoo, two weeks after beginning potty training. He did awesome. I just had a little backpack with some extra clothes, plastic bags, paper towels, etc. I was nervous, but then asked myself, really what is the worst thing that can happen?

Going to the zoo may be doable ( if she has an accident it won't be all over a play are). The problem with pull ups is my DD does think they are diapers. I do have some cloth, I could put a cloth diaper on her but I hoped to do that only at naps and night. Thank you ladies for all the input.
