Transitioning to cows milk..

My son will be 12 months in two weeks.  Any harm with transitioning him now or should I wait to start that after he's 12 months?  I figure I was going to still nurse him in the morning.  Then start mixing his formula with whole milk.

I know lots of people start a little before 12 months. If you haven't had any other feeding challenges, I would probably go ahead and start if you want. Has he had any other dairy like yogurt or cheese? We tried those first.

With DD1 we started around 11 months and basically every week would increase the cows milk by an ounce while decreasing the breast milk by an ounce.

With DD2 we waited until after she turned 1 and took it more slowly since she was mspi and prior to cows milk had no dairy.

If he isn't showing any signs of having problems with dairy and you feel comfortable, then I would say go for it!

I go with the "nothing magic happens at midnight" approach. I see no harm in waiting until exactly 12 months, just start slowly.
