Steroids and 2WW?

I've got a bad poison ivy rash that isn't going away after a week and a half. I called my ob/gyn yesterday and the nurse said my family doctor should know if steroids were okay during the two week wait. My ob was out of the office therefore she couldn't ask him. I went ahead and made an appointment with my family Dr. Does anyone else have any experience with steroids/antibiotics/poison ivy during your luteal phase? I'm ready for a good night of sleep!

I was on a steroid cream for arthritis and my OB had me go off of it as soon as I started TTC.  But that's a regular med, not a use it until it clears up kind of med.  So I don't really know.  I'd say use it if you can't sleep, but that's not a professional opinion.

@emejay thanks. If he does prescribe it I'll make sure to confirm that its okay when I pick it up from the pharmacy.

Since steroids are very strict drugs and you have to wean off them I would say they are prob bad during pregnancy. My doc would only prescribe them for a short amount of time and only to get the flare under control quickly. I however am not a doctor nor a pharmacist so I cant be sure. There is a website which you can type drugs names into it and it shoukd tell you if its ok during pregnancy or not I dont know the website off the top of my head though.

I'll have to google for that website. I'm not looking for medical advice since I'm going to my Dr for that just seeing if anyone else had been unfortunate to have poison ivy.
