Demetria

So I was looking on Nymblr because I'm bored. I see the name Demetria, which I am immediately in love with. I love Demetri but I can't use it for a personal reason, so. However, I then look on babynamewizard.com, which I consider to be fairly reliable, and it relates me to Dimitra, which seems to be legit, but is not the same name. Comes from Demeter, the Greek god.
So, do you think Demetria would be an actual name or not?
And, if so, would you ever use it on a baby? I'm thinking Demi could definitely be a nickname and that's fairly mainstream.

ETA: Demeter is a goddess, not a god. Type fail.

Demi Lovato's full first name is Demetria. I also worked with a little girl named Demetria, but her nickname was Mimi. So yes, I do consider it an actual name.

I wouldn't use it just because it is NMS but I wouldn't side-eye it on another child.

@Mj.reilly - would you consider Behind the Name more reliable than Baby Name Wizard? I've been looking for reliability in name sites but haven't looked at Behind the Name very much. I think it's my new name crush... regardless of personal feelings I also have for those celebrities.

Love Demetria. If we weren't avoiding another --a name for #3, it would have made the list. So pretty, and I love Demi as a NN.

I think of Demi Lovato--her full name is Demetria.

It's not bad--I sort of  like it.

I love Demi as a nickname but Demetria is really Greek. Are you that nationality? It could be hard on her down the road if a little blue eyed, blond hair girl has a Greek name. If you are Greek or similar nationality than totally go for it. Again Demi is so cute!

My cousin has this name.  We were born just weeks apart and grew up together and I never thought of it NOT being a name.  They came from a pretty "well-to-do" family, and they all had normal names.  I love the Greek origin.  I say go for it!
