Hikerbaby's first real ski day

So she's been sliding around before, but this was her first day on the lift.

    Too cute! And, I think it's awesome that she's learning to ski at such a young age. What a novel idea for my parents. LOL

    Nah, most places wouldn't take her for a lesson before she's 4. . . she's only 2.5.  She did EIGHT runs.  I was hoping for one!  I just held on to her between my legs, but she was amazingly energetic.

    wow, that's awesome! We wanted to take Ethan this winter, but we have not gone yet and I am still too fat and probably won't even fit into my ski boots... so most likely next year when he's almost 5....?

    DH wants to teach Nora how to snowboard, but I'm not sure she can start doing that for a few years??! I haven't seen snowboards for toddlers, at least in stores.

    Cooker, most ski schools will take ski kids at 4, but not snowboard kids until at least 6. . . most places suggest starting out on skis.

    that is so cute!

    i wish i had learned to ski as a kid, its amazing to see all the little kids on the slopes, so much better than me. ?i have a friend who has a brother who is 15 years yonger, he taught him to ski when he was 2 in the same way (holding between his legs), he was going down the black diamonds the first season!
