sleep troubles

Normally our LO goes to bed between 8:30-9 and sleeps till 6:30-7. There have been earlier mornings and later mornings but that's an average. For about 3 weeks now he wakes up between 3:30-5 screaming. At first I thought maybe he was hungry but tried a cup of milk or a snack and as soon as I put him back in his crib he cries again. So for a few days we bought him in our bed for the sanity of some sleep before work, and he goes to sleep sometimes, sometimes just stares at me lol. So I'm wondering has anyone else experience a sleep regression around 2 and is so was their a bedtime adjustment needed or something else

Yea unfortunately due to our work schedules, that's about the earliest I can get him to bed, it used to be 8pm on the dot but lately it's been rolling into 8:30 and then with summer sometimes 9. He's always gone to bed this time so I dont know that it's that, but the teething may be the cause, going to try some motrin tonight and see what happens. thanks!
