Our little man arrived two days early on August 11. I had a pretty long labor (20 hours), which resulted in the most perfect little baby. I had originally wanted med-free, but after going for 6 hours/6cm of back labor with only 1.5 minutes between contractions, I gave in to the epidural. I thought I'd "failed" myself by going with pain-meds, but have since realized that I definitely made the right choice with the epi. I was able to rest, which helped keep me able to effectively deliver. Pushing only took about a half hour, and I only had a very minor tear. (Yay!) He arrived weighing 7lbs 3.5oz and measuring 19.75 inches and has been doing wonderfully. Best of luck to all of those still waiting to deliver and thanks to the ladies updating the Google doc!
