Cloth Diapering

Cloth Diaper Pail Liners

So I didn't do cloth diapers with our daughter, but I will be doing cloth with our son. We have a arm and hammer munchkin (or whatever) disposable diaper pail. I was looking for a cloth material liner that might fit (or almost fit it) to use for dirty cloth diapers. Anyone have any luck finding one that fits close enough?

Re: Cloth Diaper Pail Liners

  • I don't think you're supposed to use those types of pails because cloth diapers need air flow. The arm & hammer one will twist the bag to restrict air flow when you close it and tbh I don't even think one would fit right in it and stay up. We're just planning on getting a regular plastic trash can with probably a swing top and a couple liners from Planet Wise.

But I'm not positive, this is just what I've read.

  • PP is right - air flow tends to do better for smell issues.  We just use an open trash can we found at target.

However if you do want to try that disposable pail thing, I'd say you just have to find a liner that has a drawstring top (rather than a zipper top).  We use the mommy's touch pail liners (got them from the green mountain diapers website) and they have a drawstring that keeps the top folded over the pail - maybe try one of those?
  • Okay. Makes sense. Thank you. :)
