Boy names giving me trouble

I'm having such a terrible time coming up with boy names. We have one boy and we were hoping for a girl, but I have a very strong suspicion this is a boy. Our first son is Luke Alistair.

I kind of like Maxwell with the nickn Max, but my husband is not feeling it. He agreed at first then changed his mind. I think with the middle name I've picked he will like it tho. Maxwell Harrison. Like or dislike? He likes Wyatt but I just can't picture calling a little boy Wyatt. It could grow on me. Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas?

Re: Boy names giving me trouble

  • I know a Wyatt and at first the name struck me as odd but it grew on me super fast and now I really like it. I think Luke and Wyatt go well together also.

As so Maxwell. It is a nice name as well just NMS.

  • I am in the exact same boat! Due in a few weeks with no boys name. I love the name Luke Alistair, our first son is Nolan Anthony. I don't like Maxwell but I do like Harrison. Wyatt is actually in our top three name choices - a lot of people in our family don't like the name Wyatt but I think it's a nice adventurous and rugged sounding name. :) Other names we're considering that may help you (middle name will be Blake for grandpa) -

    I like:
    Wyatt
    Sawyer
    Gage
    August
    Colter
    Emerson

    My DH likes:
    Hunter
    Tanner
    Tucker
    Davis
    Brice

Names I like but can't use:
    Spencer
    Preston
    Liam
    Zane
    Elliott

    Hope this helps!
  • Two of my uncle's sons are Maxwell and Wyatt. Both of them fit their names well. We all raised an eyebrow when Wyatt was born but it COMPLETELY works on him and now everyone loves it.

I'm also in the camp where both parents should love a name before you use it. I like @tiff.B 's suggestions for names that seem to be in the similar style!
