XP: Baby name question

I posted this on baby names, but wanted everyone's opinion here.
DH and I love the name Shannon. Our issue is that I'm not sure how good it sounds with our last name. Last name starts with N and rhymes with honey. Before we take it off the table completely, I wanted to ask everyone here if it was too much of a mouthful with all the N sounds. Say it out loud a few times and let me know what you think.
No we aren't pregnant...just trying next month :)

    I don't think that is a problem. Shannon is a long name to learn to write and doesn't really have any nicknames. Of course we have a Josephine...

    I think it's a few too many Ns together. What about in the middle spot where pretty much anything goes?

    Like the name Shannon, but seems like too many N's.  If you really love it a lot, maybe use it as a middle name where it won't have to be said all the time like it would if it was a first name.
