Trembling hands after nap time?

Anyone else notice this with their LO?

During the past week or so, I've noticed maybe 2 or 3 times that DD has shaky hands for maybe 5-10 seconds after I get her out of the crib when she wakes up.  I've never really noticed it before...

Normal baby thing?  Immature nervous system?  I've googled a bit but haven't found much.  Other than those 5-10 seconds, she's totally fine.

  • Maybe she's just anxious until you hold her?

  • I've seen DD do it before, though have no idea what causes it. :-/

  • DD's hands shake anytime/everytime she is excited about something.  I never thought to be concerned about it - she is just very excitable!  Could your LO just be really happy that you're picking her up?
This would be my guess too. My DD shakes a lot as we put her tray on her highchair at meal times. To outsiders it's concerning to see but my DH and I don't worry about it bc we've learned that she just gets really excited for food!
  • I remember DD used to do that, I guess she just grew out of it.

DD does this sometimes I always assumed this was why..
