Despite the other crap...

I do have to say this.  XH has been stepping up on the CO.  I don't know if he has a real job yet, but while he's been working under the table, he's been paying CS every week without my asking and he found out he was behind a couple of weeks so he paid that up as well. I got a $356 check this week when I should have gotten $56.

He's also been telling me he's still working on the life insurance policy and wants to do a little more shopping around before signing and settling on the one he has presently lined up.   Which is smart of him to do and I'm allowing him to do that with zero pressure and b*tching.

We'll see if this is truly a genuine effort, or just a ploy to get something out of me and in return, but I'll gladly take this and give him props.  He's defying and proving everyone, including me wrong on this count.

  • I hope he's being genuine. That's awesome that he caught up on CS. Can he have a talk with BD ;).

  • He probably appeared to have his sh!t together more when you were doing everything for him or nagging him to get it done for himself too.  New girlfriend = best foot forward and all.  If she left tomorrow I wouldn't be surprised if it fell to shambles.  Many a man will pretend to be a very involved and responsible parent when dating.  Enjoy while it lasts.

I respect very much all that you have gone through to get your independence back.  Congrats on the new job and the new peace in your life.
  • I agree, maybe it's the new GF, but enjoy it however long it may last. Awesome that he caught up! That's an extra $300 for DD!
