Anyone find something good for nasty acid indigestion? I ate pizza last night and had nasty acid burps all night. I don't deal with this when I'm not pregnant so I don't know.
I had awful heartburn with DD and am expecting much of the same with this one. I eat the heck out of the Tums x1000 and chug milk. Cottage cheese helps, too - anything dairy.
My midwife ok'd zantac. I take it twice a day. It really helps. I just take the OTC kind but she said if I needed it, she'd give me an Rx for the higher dose.

The new alka seltzer fruit chewables have been a life saver for me. I LOVE pizza, it has been my craving the whole pregnancy but goodness is the acid reflux terrible after I indulge! They're not as chalky as tums, taste more like mentos and I feel like they kick in immediately!
I found that Almond Milk is my 1 and only savior! I can't do much dairy and go through a half gallon every day. We're on our way to Boston and I made my family go to stop and shop so I could get one. It's in between my legs as we speak!
When it's really bad, I take a Pepcid AC. Otherwise I just keep popping Tums and eventually they work (@nichole10 I suck on them too). I also have my supply of Gas-X when it is accompanied by bad gas pains. I've pretty much bought out every allowed gastrointestinal medicine at CVS.

Gaviscon chewables (kinda like Tums) have worked for me while Tums never has (pregnant or not).
Gavison has Aluminum Hydroxide and Magnesium Carbonate. While Tums active ingredient is Calcium Carbonate.
