What have you purchased so far?

Well my Hubby and I just had our budget meeting and aggreed on a crib set that I will be purchasing next week. I just started my registry online.

I've been handed down a few things from friends (extra Boppy, nursing cover, toys from family that I know I won't need for AGES...) but I wasn't planning to buy anything until after my a/s. If I know my mom is throwing me a big shower, should I wait to get anything until I see what everyone gets us? My family is big on getting moms the big stuff (crib, carrier, stroller, etc) and even though I feel guilty "letting" people get that stuff for me, it's just kind of our tradition. Is that rude? I'm feeling inadequate compared to the other FTMs who have already made so many big purchases! Sigh.

Lol don't worry too much about it. I just think some of us just like to shop haha. I personally know the only gifts I'll get from family are more than likely clothes so instead of spending at on of money later all at once we wanted to buy something every week or two. Also I wouldn't feel guilty if that's sort of a tradition but if you really do there is nothing wrong with buying your own things.

I think another reason we've started buying things is because most of what we want is gender neutral or the same furniture. I've had a girl and boy nursery planned out for quite a while. :P Baby is a mover and moves a lot so I haven't been too worried about things and I have an ultrasound next week.

Also dumb question but what in the world is PGAL brain? This is the first time I've seen that on any forum ever lol.

We have bought a RNP, bouncer seat, bath tub foam, some toys, some really cute toys, some shoes, a blanket, a monitor that we can view via iPhone since hubby lives out of town and some other just cutesy stuff that matches our monkey theme.  Most of it was bought during targets clearance.

We have almost everything we need already, but I did buy an Ergo and some newborn cloth diapers.

So far, just a few outfits. I got a sleeper and a pair of ducky socks this morning. No big stuff until after I move back to MN next month.

I totally forgot that I just sarted to buy maturnity clothes o m g!!! My sis also gave me 2 dresses that I just love!!!!

I haven't bought anything. I have old maternity clothes from DS. I have very few 'big' items because when we had him we had family members that 'gave' us things then they asked for them back after he out grew them. I'm still nervous about buying things though. Maybe after our 20 wk u/s. My mom has purchased some non gendered footie pajamas from garage sales.

My in-laws bought us a crib and dresser last weekend. I've bought TONS of baby girl clothes...I can't resist them!! Everybody knows that my sisters and I've bought clothes so I doubt I will get many as presents. I've also bought hangers and a couple toys.

I had a breast pump, some bottles, clothes, glider, carseat, stroller, and some clothes.

Haven't bought a thing yet. Waiting until after my a/s ultrasound and then also to start a registry.

I bought an outfit the day I found out were team blue, but that is it.

We have to move into a bigger place and are currently looking, so it doesn't make sense to buy extra things only to move them.
