we put her in the baby tub, inside of the regular bath tub. to rinse, we dip the washcloth in clean water and wiper her down. or, sometimes when we're lazy, DH just takes her in the shower with him and rinses her down
We have the summerinfant newborn bath chair....thing. She's getting a little big for it though. We have a detachable shower head with adjustable settings, so we put it on a soft one and rinse her off with that. I get a good ab/butt work out when I'm trying to hold her with one hand, scrub her back/bottom with the other, and rinse with the shower head under my chin ... but it works well enough, LOL.
Looking forward to maybe a month or two from now when we can just put her in the tub. We need a grippy thing for the bottom of it though.
We use the Whale of a tub on the kitchen counter... Our bath is too low and too deep to put it in there. My knees and back appreciate the higher level. As for the awkward rinse, we use a small bucket of clean water and "dump" it on him. Said like that we sound like creeps but for real, it's like a mini shower and he laughs the whole time. We avoid his face, of course.
I put her bath tub over the sink. it is designed to fit into the sink or the tub. She is so little it would be hard to do it in the regular tub. I put water in the bath and wash her up. Then I use the little hose to rinse her as I drain the water out of the tub. It has a neck rest to rinse her hair. It was like $20 and makes bath times so easy. She love baths cause it has a little seat so she can sit up and kick her feet in the water.
Baby tub in the regular tub, it's a little tricky cause we have a glass shower door so we have to crouch into the tub as well, so my calves burn after each bath. We have another tub for when he can sit up on his own before we let him in the actual tub. I just wish we had a bigger bath.
We use this in our farm sink in the kitchen and LO loves it. As I drain the bath I have her sit on the edge and I hose her down as a rinse with the faucet hose. When she can sit up on her own you flip the tub so LO sits in the middle and it creates soft bumpers in the tub. A bonus is that it holds water so it's warm vs cold.

Me: 35/Hubs: 35 - just moved to Minneapolis from Chicago. TTC for 18 months and expecting baby #1 April 18, 2012! Needed IVF after a few failed rounds of IUI and it worked!
We put him in a baby tub that we sit on our kitchen sink. It's easier than the tub because we can stand up rather than kneel down and bend over. We'll transition him to the big tub eventually, but for now the sink works just fine.
We put a towel in our big tub and wash him in there. We have a baby toy that scoops water and that is how we bath him.
I just lay ds on a towel on the tub about once a week for a thorough cleaning and give him a bath in my bathroom sink or a sponge bath the remaining times. Then again ds only poops twice per week as a general rule while ebf so its not like hes getting really dirty.

We're still using the baby tub in our kitchen sink. He still fits in the newborn sling part of it and isn't sitting up on his own yet, so it seems like the easiest/safest option.

We've put him in the sink... Taken him in the shower, put him in his baby bath.. Or if DS1 is in the batg tub... I'll hold DS2 in there with one hand and scrub with the other... This is easier now that he can sit.
