Introduction!

Hello all! My name is Ashley and I'm just intro'ing over here as our little girl came into this world at 30 weeks after I developed HELLP syndrome, quite suddenly. She was taken via emergency c-section last Saturday and came out weighing 2lbs 3oz and was 14.5" long. I was finally discharged from the hospital last night, but our little pipsqueak of course had to stay in the NICU. Luckily we are only 15-20 min from the hospital so we are able to come and go, although with my own recovery going on, it's not as much as we'd like right now. Our baby girl is doing great though and for that we are thankful.

Just thought I'd say hi. Although we've only been in this for a few days, it is still so surreal and overwhelming to experience. I have no doubt that I can gain a lot of knowledge and support here.

  • Congrats and welcome, I look forward to hearing about your daughter's progress. She'll be home before you know it!
  • Thank you all for the welcome :) She's continuing to do well and make small steps forward! Leaving her at night is so hard and I'm sure it doesn't get easier. I just try to remind myself that she's in good hands and in the best place she can be right now.
