Know what I am tired of hearing?

So it has been no secret to many people in my life that I have had multiple miscarriages and that in between it takes me many months to conceive....so people know that I am on Clomid now.  I don't know many people personally who have had some of the issues that I am experiencing, so I try to educate my friends and family when it comes to me taking Clomid.  Many people have questions and I do my best to inform them of what all of this means.  One of the things that I always mention is that there is an increased risk of twins.  And the one thing that everyone says to me is: "Oh good, get it all over with in one shot!"  Ummm...not what you should tell someone who has never carried a pregnancy past 6 weeks or someone who feels like she is going to be the last person in the world to have a baby.  I don't want to just "get it over with".  Has anyone else experienced this?

Right here! Everyone keeps telling me maybe I will have twins and have an instant family! First, I have a family - even if it is just me, DH, and the furbabies. Second, I have had multiple m/c...so while I am optimistic that clomid will help me, there is still that little corner of my mind that thinks that if one won't stick two won't either. I know that is irrational throught, but hey, IF is full of irrational thought.

My mother was a twin so I can carry twins naturally let alone if I were to use meds. People say of good, get it over with in one shot! NO! I don't want that! I rather have one at a time. I also feel like I will be the last person on earth to get pregnant. Good luck to you!

Oh yes, and by the way, a lot of the people who tell me that have their own children running around.....

I feel like people are totally ignorant, especially with infertility. I refuse to try to educate people, because I tried that and it was like I was talking to deaf ears. I keep my circle tight and when people ask me when we are having a kid, I ask them, " why, are you going to come be my live in nanny for free?" It shuts them up usually very quick. Good luck!

Yeah, it is very frustrating what people say most of the time.  I just had someone tell me that they had the opposite problem as me...they were too fertile.  I wanted to say you also have another problem....being an a@$H**le!!!  I agree I don't want to just "get it over with".  I would like to get pregnant more than once and enjoy it and cherish every moment.  People that say that have no clue.

Too fertile?  That's a problem? Ugh. Excuse me while I vomit.
