Those that have potty trained... a question!

I am excited that DS and I will be joining a MOPS group this fall. DS has been potty trained for several weeks now, and is great about not having accidents. However, I am concerned that the childcare person at the MOPS group will not be equipped to be able to take them to the bathroom quickly (a younger group and he is 20 months). 

Do you think it would cause DS to regress if I kept him diapered there and nowhere else? I have diapered him when he goes over to my mom's house after a day of him have accidents there, and he actually kept the diaper dry and continued to tell her when he had to go- but that was once. I really don't want to cause him to regress in PT, but I don't want to inconvenience the babysitter(s) taking care of his class.

How long is the class? We potty trained DD about 3 weeks ago and she still wears a pull-up at night and for long car rides (over an hour). When I take her to the gym with me I take her to the potty in the children's area when I leave her and as soon as I'm done. (And I cut my cardio to 30 minutes). I am l

Looking to stop the pull ups but its a gradual thing... I would tr a diaper maybe and then if its dry, just try going potty before and after.

Bumping from my phone is not so easy.... Sorry for the 2 posts.

The class is two hours and right after breakfast time, so he will probably be loaded on fluids. I diaper him at nap and nighttime too, though he is completely dry 95% of the time when he wakes up- so he definitely has control. 

I would hate to inconvenience them if he DOES have an accident.

I would talk to them about it but I think they will likely be prepared for getting them to the bathroom.  Also, DS had a hard time holding it when he was first trained - if he had to go he had to go, but it didn't take long before he could hold it until we could get him to a bathroom.  You said he's been trained for a few weeks, so if he's got a few more weeks until preschool, you might be surprised by him learning to hold it a few minutes until they can get him to the bathroom.

I'd probably be inclined to do pull up over his underwear.  If he has an accident, it is contained.

You'll be surprised.  I would think he'd hold it while in class.  He also is young and I think it depends if he is outspoken enough to tell someone he needs to go.

Just have him go pee right when you show up, and have him wear a pull.up for the class.

In our experience, it really only helped her.  She saw other kids going and was like I want to do that too.  If he does have an accident no biggie they are prepared for that.

We did underwear with a cover so pee wouldn't go all over the floor. I would do something like that to contain the mess. I would think pull ups could cause regression.

Have him go as soon as you get there.  Depending how the kids are  grouped, they may want him with other kids who are already potty trained.
