Parenting after a Loss

Another shoe question

DD just started pulling herself up to standing but she steps on the outside of her foot. Do you think if I got her some good shoes it would help correct that?

Re: Another shoe question

  • I think it's probably just one of the kooky things kids do and that as she stands/walks more she will find flat feet to be more stable. Talk to her doctor if you are concerned.

I'm with Junebug on this one.  She is probably just figuring out what standing feels like.  If she starta cruising like that, or seems to not be able to get her footing because of it, I'd talk to the pedi before getting shoes to see if they would recommend a specific type (hard sole/soft sole, etc) or not.

  • It's vest for babies to be bare foot as much as possible when early walking/cruising begins. She'll figure it out :)
