Hi ladies, I'm 7 weeks pregnant with #2 and have a 13 month old little boy. My husband and I have made the decision that I'm going to stay home once baby #2 comes along. I'm thrilled to stay home and know it's the right decision for our family, but I also must admit I'm scared. I find myself feeling stressed/overwhelmed now from time to time with just my one son, and I work/he's in day care 4 days a week. I'm SO excited to have the time with him and our new baby come March, but I'm nervous about how I'll handle being with them all day every day, too.
Anyone else felt this? Any tips for a soon to be SAHM? Thanks!
Re: Soon to be SAHM Newbie
@louiej I didn't know you were in Northern MN. My H grew up in Northern MN. I know there are a lot of cities in northern MN, but I still think its fun! I'm in eastern ND...very close to MN.
I would find ways to get out of the house and be around other adults every once in a while. When I was a new SAHM, I got a little job at my church and watched kids during bible studies and mom group meetings. I think it really helped me to get out of the funk I was in. It have me a reason to leave the house, make new friends, make a little extra money and I think it was good for DD too.
So my advice is look into joining a mops group.
