We're all pretty sure DH's grandmother is losing her mind. Remember that post where she wanted to do family pictures this coming up week at her apartment? And I A.) wasn't sure the baby would even be born and B.) wasn't sure I wanted my fresh out of my ute baby around 5 other kids under the age of 7. And, C.) I have a low milk supply, so I generally don't stop nursing for two weeks straight so I can boost my supply in the beginning.
Anyway, she called up DH's sister again and said that she wanted the children to come and swim at the pool at their apartment Wednesday. Each family was to provide part of lunch and she would supply smoked trout for the children. Hmm.. Okay, my kids will eat anything, and they probably would eat smoked trout, but none of the other kids will for sure. And, I might be either hugely overdue, in the hospital, or just home from the hospital with my fresh squishy. Something about cooking for a
potluck and bringing it to a party sounds really not great.
DH's sister brought up all of these things to his grandmother and she said that its been a long time since she was around newborns and she doesn't remember not wanting to cook or go to parties.
Maybe it's just me and my low milk supply. Or, maybe she's a little crazy. I'm starting to not be sure either way.

Re: Old ladies
I would not be cooking potluck food or taking my newborn around a bunch of little kids the week she was born. I'm on the same page as you!
