What do you ladies think of Daniel? It's a huge family name for me--there's three on my side! Is it too "dated" as a first name? Do you like the NNs Dan and Danny? What do you think of when you hear Daniel/Dan/Danny? Middle names for Daniel? I like Daniel Julius. TIA!

i love Daniel!  Danny gets my vote for a nn, but probably because I sing Danny Boy to DS all the time   A lot of mns work, I like Daniel Andrew, Daniel Alexander or Daniel Thomas.

Daniel is a family name for me too but I was told by a friend that it gets mispronounced as Danielle a lot like by substitute teachers or judges which hopefully the baby won't ever be in court! Perhaps it only happened to him because his last name was basically Belle with a different first letter, though it is pronounced like belly...Daniel Belle.

I've always liked it. As a child, I named my cat Danny. LOL. We couldn't use it for a baby because it's DH's name and he did not want a Jr.

I LOVE Daniel.  It's my #1 choice for a boy.  I think the nn options are great, and they can change and mature, as your son grows.
