2 years ago XH and I got SD a Walmart debit card that we could load easily. This was back when she was in college and being responsible. I put money on it for her to use for whatever emergency or need she had at the time.
Well that card never got shut down apparently like I thought, because I got a new set of cards in the mail today. I got online and there has been zero activity as far as 06/12 - the oldest date accessible on the account.
However....there's still $12 on it! Looks like I'm going to get a little bit of my money back. Maybe I'll put it toward a good bottle of hooch and toast my freedom. Or maybe put it directly into my investment account and let that $12 grow along with all my other spare $$ into a nice big fat investment fund.
It's very small, but strangely, somehow taking this little tiny amount that I'm recouping from her and putting it into something that will be much, much bigger makes me really, really, REALLY happy.
