Colic poll

If you believe your baby has/had colic, did the baby or you take antibiotics during pregnancy or after the baby was born?

(I am doing a little research and trying to determine if the antibiotics my newborn was given could have killed her good stomach bacteria leading to colic..)

    We are seeing a chiropractor for colic and he suggested me taking a probiotic to help with the colic as well because it will pass through my bm and give her some good bacteria to help with digestion.

    Colic isn't necessarily caused by gastrointestinal issues. No one knows what causes it; tummy upset is just one of the speculated triggers.

    DD2 is colicky and I was not on antibiotics during pregnancy at all. I was on a shitload of antibiotics during weeks 2-4 of her life because of a resistant mastitis. But her colic actually worsened since I've been off the meds.

    I took antibiotics 4 different times during this pregnancy so I am happy to take probiotics to get myself healthier and if it does or doesn't do any to help baby, I don't really care at least I'm trying things instead of just complaining.  Probiotics are good for you either way so even if it doesn't help at least you're healthier inside.
