I was told by a nurse that it might help with my sciatic nerve pain that I was having a lot in 2nd tri. I sat on it for an hour while I watched TV and the next day I could barely walk my tailbone was so sore! It was way worse then the occasional sciatic zing.
I would like to try it again when I'm ready to go in to labor but I'm too scared now.

That does not sound like fun. I love my ball. I sit on it every day and it makes my back pain (but then again I don't have sciatica) much better. Have you mentioned the pain worsening to your dr or that nurse? Maybe they will have some insight.
Yes, my doctor said it might cause an old tailbone injury to flare up. I sprained my tailbone when I was a gymnast, so I'm sure he's right. Too bad, guess I'll just have to try extra sex and forgo the ball
