Babies on the Brain

what to do..or think?

Been ttc for about a year now and I'm hoping this time I am preggers cuz it feels different...but I have irregular periods and I have an app to predict my period and normally it is right well I'm 2 wks late and the day I was supposed to get my period I had period like cramps and my nipples are normally sore around the time but now I have been having cramps again also an off and on cramping pain near my vagina sorry if it's tmi and my whole breast hurt especially right after I take my bra off right for the past 3 days expected my period when I had cramps but it never came cuz I get it the day I have the cramps...and positive advice would be helpful

Re: what to do..or think?

  • You need to take a test instead of speculating. PMS and pregnancy symptoms are the same so no one here can tell if you are pregnant or not. Also, check into fertilityfriend.com instead of using your calendar app method to actually help you figure out your cycles and ttc.
  • Loading the player...
  • POAS, and start charting on your next cycle.

  • Why do people think people on the internet would know better than an HPT?

    Mind bottling.

I'd like to bottle my mind up sometimes. It thinks too much and there doesn't seem to be an off switch.

  • Buy a test. Pee on it. Find out if you are pregnant. Done.

It doesn't help that you can't make paragraphs from the iPad since the upgrade.

This is my thought as well?

OP, take a test. They are much more reliable than the opinions of Internet strangers.

  • I'm new to TTC, but if you have an App that predicts your period and it is usually right, then you don't have irregular periods.

Irregular = fluctuating lengths of cycles
Regular = you can figure it out with a calendar and an app

    POAS.

  • I would suggest you take a pregnancy test.  Good luck!
  • But the OP said she has irregular periods. Unless the app she has is magical I don't understand how it can be accurate at predicting her period.

The app I use, Ovuline, predicts irregular periods pretty accurately.  (I haven't been regular since having DD2).  The app uses lots of data outside of start of last period and BBT-I enter moods, physical symptoms, etc. You can also enter additional health data if you have conditions like PCOS.  And then they use a data algorithm to compare your cycle data to all the previous cycles you've entered as well as other women with irregular periods to predict where you are in your cycle and when your next period will be.
  • If only there were some sort of test a person could take to determine if she were pregnant. Maybe it could test some of your bodily fluid - urine, for example - to see if there are hormones present that indicate that a fertilized egg has implanted and begun to grow. And then you could buy the test in a store and not have to ask random strangers if they think you're pregnant! Oh, what a glorious invention that would be!

What is this about testing urine that you speak of?!

Please- those things are only like 99% accurate and everyone knows that I'm a special snowflake that it obviously won't work for

Of course you're right! You forgot to add, "I wasn't actually asking if I was preggers!!! Can't you read??? I just wanted to see if the same thing happened to anyone else!"
