Trying to Get Pregnant

Is 6DPO too early to test?

I've been having some symptoms, I know AF symptoms are similar but AF isn't due for another 2 weeks. So I don't know if I should test now or wait till AF?

  • You really should wait.
  • If you're 6 dpo, your period is most likely going to show up sooner than two weeks from now. A 20 day LP is super long (average is 10-16). How do you know when you ovulated?

That said, at 6dpo, implantation likely wouldn't have even happened yet if you did conceive. It's too early to test and any symptoms you're having are probably being caused by your post-O progesterone and are not pregnancy symptoms.

  • I'm sorry what?
  • 6 days is too early to test. Implantation likely hasn't occurred or is only beginning.

Below is a cool website showing when various pregnant women get their positives.  You can select the day post ovulation you are and it will tell you the statistics on whether or not you would turn a test positive yet. It's an interesting website.  I'm not sure where they get their numbers from though.
  • Thank you that's really useful! :) I'm gonna wait another week or so then check!
