That's my fancy way of saying that I'm going to stop lurking for a moment to actually post something.
This may have been already asking 5,697 times, but when did you finally get baby-on-the-brain syndrome?
Have you always had it, or was it something that occured very suddenly?
I'm asking because I'm 29 (will be 30 in November) and it's something that has hit me like a ton of bricks. It's like in the past few months, I've suddenly been thinking of babies all the freakin' time. I find myself looking at strollers online, researching the pros and cons of cloth diapers versus disposables, etc. This isn't something I was ever even remotely interesting before.
At first I thought that it could be because all of my friends/cousins are either having children or have already had them, but I do think it's really a biological urge coming on.
I have always heard people refer to it in this manner, but for whatever stupid reason, I'm still surprised at how fast and sudden it was.
Of course, I'm not implying that we'll be TTCing anytime soon as a result, but I do think within the next year, we'll be considering a time to TTC.
Anyway, so how did this "urge" come for you?
Re: So I come forth from the shadows...
You know, that occured to me as well. I've thought, "Well, maybe I'm getting excited because now we're going to be married, and on some level I feel more ready somehow." That could be it, or it could be more of a coincidence.
